I was invited to paint this weekend and could not make it after all. I had gotten ahead of God and said yes, before I really prayed about it. Even so, I did get something to paint, and I told the dear sister who invited me, I would paint it and pray for their meetings.
God confirmed it was His will the next day, when I saw a post by a brother I had recently spoken to on the phone, who also just happens to be a "combat engineer." He had written, “The Devil said What???? ROFL Psalm 37:13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming!” Amen!
When I first spoke to this sister about the event, we talked about getting drunk in the spirit, and holy laughter. It's been so long since I was in a meeting and God's holy laughter came on me, but when I saw the flyer...joy rose up in me.
Laughter is good medicine the Bible says...yes...so true...and it is also a weapon!
Many times, God's spirit comes on me so strong all I can do is laugh. It's the kind of laugh that is uncontrollable, and also the kind of laughter you don't WANT to control.
Sometimes, I will also get intercession at home. It can be deep and heavy, ending with this incredible laughter. So overwhelming, all I can do is roll around on my bed...
screaming and laughing, until it is “finished.”
When this happens, inevitably, the next day, someone will ask me to pray for them...and wouldn't you know...they always have depression!?Yes, and they were wanting to be free from it!!! When I pray, they get free immediately...and when they do, the laughter comes again...
but this time, on both of us! LOL
Laughter is warfare, in the kingdom, to set those free, who are bound by, sadness.
We must remember to remain childlike, because God is our Father, and isn’t that just like a Good Father to do have us laugh away sadness for another? His ways are not our ways and his weapons are definitely not carnal, but oh my, they ARE SO mighty...for the pulling down of strongholds!
The last time his laughter hit me in a meeting, it was at a conference with the Bakers. I had dreamed about Rolland Baker praying for me, and when he did, I got me delivered from something, even slain in the spirit in my dream. The next day a Pastor friend contacted me and asked if I wanted to come paint for an upcoming Baker conference!!!!! I told him I believed God was telling me I needed to be there...since I had just dreamed of them. He didn't know, but I had been so overwhelmed with depression and loneliness, for quite some time, being single, and in ministry can be a very lonely thing sometimes.
After the first night of painting, Heidi got up and said there are some of you here struggling with depression and loneliness, you need to let Rolland pray for you, he has an anointing for that!. Ah ha...there was my invitation, so I made my way to him and he held me for awhile, let me weep, until I crumbled on the floor and wept more.
The next night was the last night, and towards the end, I was still painting, but begging God to just let me go down and worship with everyone...before the music ended.
I really wanted to get into the river!!!!
God said go for it!!!!
As I came down the stairs the glory of God hit me and I began to move in slow motion, I was apologizing to people because I was trying not to fall on them. His presence was on me so strongly, it was all I could do to stand.
I ended up landing on the front row, on my back, laughing hysterically, my feet kicking in the air. I didn't care who heard me. I didn't care what people thought about me. My King Daddy God was tickling me and I needed it! I was lost in joy unspeakable and full of His glory!
I was getting set free!!!!
I knew Rolland carried God's Joy, because I had heard him speak not long after he had malaria. It was a horrible thing to go through, he basically lost his mind, and could not do anything for himself. But afterwards, he was filled with supernatural joy.
He came to the church I was part of at the time, and when he would look at me, Joy would shoot out of his eyes, and when it did, I would just scream with laughter and roll on the floor.
Never was that scripture more real to me that day as I watched him preach about trusting God in the suffering...and as I felt the anointing of Joy coming from his eyes.
Consider it pure joy. When you face various trials. Yes. The trial of losing his mind, had given him an anointing for joy; a pure joy that came right out of his eyes...it was like God was saying. "Do you see?"
Yes, I see Lord!
Psalm 2:4
He, God, the One Lord,
Who Rules,
Supreme Power over Heaven and earth,
yes King of Kings,
Sits, enthroned, and dwells, in the Heavens!
My Sovereign Lord, and Adonai
looks at the nations and their rulers, In supreme contempt,
He merely laughs in disgust, as He scoffs, yes, making fun of and ridiculing...
deriding them for their rebellion,
amused by all their feeble, puny and silly plans,
mocking their ignorant selfishness.
Yes, He has and will keep taunting them in derision.

Why the big noise, nations? Why the mean plots, peoples? Earth-leaders push for position, Demagogues and delegates meet for summit talks, The God-deniers, the Messiah-defiers: “Let’s get free of God! Cast loose from Messiah!” Heaven-throned God breaks out laughing. At first he’s amused at their presumption; Then he gets good and angry. Furiously, he shuts them up: “Don’t you know there’s a King in Zion? A coronation banquet Is spread for him on the holy summit.”
“Derision is more than just making fun of someone — it's mocking someone so forcefully and with such venom that you discredit the person completely. Derision can include literally laughing at someone or just treating a person like a joke. You know how celebrities and politicians do embarrassing things from time to time? They're usually treated with derision afterward: people mock them, treat them with contempt, and try to make the person who messed up seem completely worthless. “
