How much do you charge to come and paint?
I do not charge, I trust God to provide.
If a church invites me to come, especially out of state, or beyond an hour from my home, it would be helpful to be given a place to stay, meals and help covering my travelling expenses. That will be determined before I accept an invitation.
I have products I bring to sell, like Paul was a tent maker, I try to make a way to provide for the ministry, as not to be a burden to anyone. If I go to a church and paint, I would request 1 or 2 folding tables for my products. Also a volunteer or two would also be helpful to help me unload, set up and watch my table while I am painting or ministering, and then later after I finish to help me pack up and load my car.
Sometimes I am asked to come and minister and then also asked to pay for a vendor table. If I am asked to come and minister, and have not required an honorarium to do so, then I will not want to pay for a table.
What do you require when you are painting prophetically corporately at a conference or church?
If I am invited to paint corporately, I will bring my own table, easel, supplies, and a cover for the floor. I will need a place to paint on the platform, around 5' x 5' where I can be seen.
I request a place on the platform because, even though I love people, when I am there to be part of the worship team, then I want to stay in the spirit and worship!!! Sometimes when I am on the floor with the worshipers, I will be interrupted often. It is very distracting, and painting takes skill, and concentration, much like preaching a sermon, or playing an instrument.
Having a place away from the speakers or loud instruments is also a blessing. I have had to set up right beside the drums or speakers, and trust me, it can be extremely loud!
Also, it makes no sense to ask me to pray, prepare, buy supplies, pack my car up, drive a long distance, unload, set up, and then not be seen by anyone...seems sorta silly to me. :)
So for me, a place on the platform is a requirement.
What do you need to do prophetic portraits?
Traveling expenses, if it is beyond 1 hr from my home.
When I get to the location, I will need a quiet place away from the crowd to set up my easel, and paints. A small table and 2 chairs.
I will bring people, one by one, into the room to be alone with me while I paint for them. It is much like a counseling session, so it needs to be peaceful and a place where the person will feel safe. Quiet instrumental soaking music, and tissues are also a blessing.
What do you charge for prophetic portraits?
If I am invited to do prophetic portraits at a remote location, I do not require money to come beyond my travelling expenses.
I come, set up, and do them for free. I will put a basket out, away from where I am painting, so I cannot see what is given. That way people can give donations if they would like to, and if they do not want to, or are unable to, they will not feel that my painting will be based on that.
I was a single mom for many years, and did not have very much money, so I want to be a blessing to everyone, and treat all people the same.
If I do the portraits online, I ask for money to cover my time to paint. It takes time to set up, prepare, package and mail the portrait.
I ask for approximately $50/hr for my time painting, the prophetic word is free!
How do you know what to paint?
Before I come to an event, I pray, and ask God what He wants me to "release." Then I prepare reference photos to use while I am painting. Sometimes I use several photos or my own sketches together to re-create the vision. I will draw them and then Photoshop them into an image I can use.
For the prophetic portraits, I do those spontaneously. After the person sits down, I pray and "see" what God wants me to paint. I then sketch it or paint it for them. Usually other things come with the vision, like healing, deliverance, or confirmation about their calling or direction for their life or ministry.
What do you charge to come and speak?
When I speak, and minister through prayer or prophesy, I also do not ask for money to come, generally, I am given an honorarium, but I do not require this. Travel expenses must be covered however.
I will also set up a product table with prints and other items for sale.
