Golden Eagle: the Seer
I was invited to come to the School of the Seers in Moravian Falls. I had a painting prepared but wasn’t sure if that was the right one for this event, so right before I left, I felt led to look in a folder where I put images that I plan or hope to paint one day. When I did, I saw this image and I knew…THAT was the one I was supposed to paint.
A friend of mine is an amazing wildlife photographer and allows me to use his images for a fee. He sent this one out on 12/1/11 in an email and when I saw it, I began to weep. Every time I would look at the eagle’s eyes, my eyes would feel something and I would cry. I asked God, what is it about this photo that is messing me up? He spoke very clearly to me and said, “It is what you are, because it is the eagle that represents the Seer.” I told my friend the photographer, "I am going to have to paint this one…I can tell…because it keeps making me cry."
I went to the conference and got all set up, while I was getting ready a person came up and asked me, what I was painting. I do not like to let people know what I am painting ahead of time, because sometimes it will become a door doubt can come through. I also did not know this person, so I just said I wanted them to be surprised. They said, “Well, I saw an eagle fly through here in the spirit, so that might be a confirmation for you.” Then another person came up and said they were hearing eagles crying. I was blown away with how God was confirming to me that I was painting what He wanted me to.
Then a friend I have known a while came up and asked me what I was going to paint. I told her about my no tell policy, but she kept pressing me, so I went ahead and told her. Bad idea. She looked me, kind of made a questioning face and said, "Oh." I told her, "God said it is the eagle for the seer." I could tell by her expression, she was not impressed.
In that moment, I had doubt try to come in...but I remembered what the other people had said. And I held fast to my conviction I had heard God and He was in this.
So the first night, I just got the background done and the outline of the eagle laid in. The teaching was about to begin, so I found a seat close to the front and my friend I had told was on the same row. The main speaker, got up and immediately started talking about the golden eagle!!! He had been seeing them nesting across the mountain from him. God had spoken to him too and told him they represented the seers! My friend looked right at me, shocked, with her eyes wide open and smiled big. It blessed me. I joked with her and said, “What do you know? I’m a prophetic artist!!!”

Symbolism and Scriptures
So it got me thinking, why the Golden eagle? Golden represents the glory and something that has been purified. And all eagles have an amazing ability to see, so they represent prophets. The bible says if we are mature, we can see in the spirit.
The Golden eagle is also thought to be the thunderbird a legendary creature in certain North American indigenous peoples' history and culture. It is considered a "supernatural" bird of power and strength.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8
Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. 2 Timothy 2:19-21(NIV).
Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.
