Running Home to You
Dressed Her in Rainbow Colors

Since I was a little girl, I have loved rainbows. I had rainbow sheets on my bed, and my key ring on my first car was a rainbow. I loved them long before they became a symbol of perversion. They are like a kiss from my Daddy in Heaven, and He sends them to me when I need to know He loves me, or I need direction. Sometimes I will be at home and He will say, grab your camera and go outside right now…and when I do, I will see the most amazing rainbow ever!
I remember, I was so excited when I first read about Joseph in the bible, just who he was, and that his Father GAVE him a coat of many colors, but his brothers hated him…because they were jealous. I felt like that, for so long in my life. I never seemed to fit in…anywhere.
Sometimes, when I want to be with God, I will do what I have painted here. I will run to Him. With my rainbow wings. It is the place where I feel most loved and accepted, in heavenly places with Him. I can see things when I am there. I see Him and He gives me revelation that is higher than this world.
The day I painted this, I was really longing for HOME. And I wanted to run to him, like a child and be in the place where I belong.
Psalm 21: (MSG)
A David Psalm 21 1-7
Your strength, God, is the king’s strength.
Helped, he’s hollering Hosannas.
You gave him exactly what he wanted;
you didn’t hold back.
You filled his arms with gifts;
you gave him a right royal welcome.
He wanted a good life; you gave it to him,
and then made it a long life as a bonus.
You lifted him high and bright as a cumulus cloud,
then dressed him in rainbow colors.
You pile blessings on him;
you make him glad when you smile.
Is it any wonder the king loves God?
that he’s sticking with the Best?
The Castle in Which I Live

2 Samuel 22:2, 3 MSG
"God is bedrock under my feet, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight. My God—the high crag where I run for dear life, hiding behind the boulders, safe in the granite hideout; My mountaintop refuge, he saves me from ruthless men."
A Child of the King (song)
Once I was clothed in the rags of my sin,
Wretched and poor, lost and lonely within.
But with wondrous compassion, the King of all kings,
In pity and love, took me under His wings.
CHORUS:
Oh, yes, oh yes, I'm a child of the King
His royal blood now flows in my veins.
And I who was wretched and poor now can sing
Praise God, praise God, I'm a child of the King.
Now I'm a child with a Heavenly home,
My Holy Father has made me His own.
And I'm cleansed by His blood, and I'm clothed in His love,
And some day I'll sing with the angels above.
