He alone holds
the key to my Heart,
my Beloved, my Lover,
my Groom, my Best Friend.
He alone can unlock it’s mysteries
and expose the hidden secrets
that keep me bound
in darkness and fear.
I yield my heart to Him.
I let Him in,
to judge,
inspect,
& sculpt.
Yes, search my heart
oh Lord
and see if there be
any evil way in me.
He looks and says,
my heart is His
“work of art.”
He is safety.
He is truth
He is not a man,
That He would lie to me.
So He alone
can hold the key.
If there IS
a man for me,
He will go to God
and get the key.
Until then I will
guard my heart
with all diligence,
for that is where
the springs of living water
flow from Him
to me.
