Late night prophetic art sketch.
One day the Lord spoke to me and said “You can stand under My Umbrella”. A day or two later a sister said, “I hear God saying for you to ‘come under His umbrella.’”
I had recently heard a catchy secular song about standing under an umbrella and it was still in my heart, so I decided to go look up the words.
“When the sun shines, we shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be your friend
Took an oath that I'm a stick it out 'til the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella.”
Yes Lord!
It made me think of when David was facing an overwhelming situation, the Bible said he “encouraged himself in the Lord.”
I’ve heard people say he must’ve worshiped, but the Bible says, all he did was ask God what to do, and once he was sure he had heard him, he did what God said.
It’s that simple. When we come under the authority of God, to listen and obey, we are sure to have victory, because we will be doing exactly what God told us to. Workers of iniquity do a lot of things in Jesus’ Name, but not under His direction.
I’ve been in a battle, it has sometimes been more than I know how to bear—but I know God is with me—and I’m safe standing under His umbrella! I am waiting on Him.
I decided to paint a carefree little girl worshiping on the beach under a rainbow! Trusting with childlike faith, His banner over us is LOVE, and all His promises are yes and amen!
