"Reaching for His Promises"
12" x 16" Pastel on Canson
In the bible, the Hebrew word for prophesy, is נָבָא or naba', which means to "bubble up."
Sometimes God gives us a promise, and we have to reach for it, actively seek after it. It stretches us, and strengthens our ability to have faith, as we pray, contend, believe, and seek Him for it. Warring against our flesh or thoughts of doubt.
I love this image, of a young girl in the sun, reaching up for the bubble.
Bubbles usually have all the colors of the rainbow in them, and that always makes me think of Jesus!
He is our promise giver and promise keeper!! Our Ultimate Promise!!!
Reach up for your promises...stretch forth with childlike faith!!!! Believe and Recieve. God is faithful!!!
"And so it was, that she, having waited long and endured patiently realized and obtained what God has promised." Hebrews 6:15
“Abraham grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.”
